PostDoc in migration and integration research

Federal Institute for Population Research (BiB)

I’m currently a postdoctoral researcher in sociology and migration at the BiB in Germany. I am also an associate researcher of the Swiss National Center for Competence in Research (NCCR) for Mobility and Migration Studies at the University of Neuchâtel.

My research focuses on international migration and its consequences for individuals. Within this context, I’m particularly interested in social inequalities in immigrants’ perceptions, feelings and experiences such as well-being, sense of belonging and discrimination.

In addition, I’m interested in the role of cultural differences in migrants’ lives after their relocation, and in how research can be communicated effectively and transparently with the help of data visualisation.
